At Imageworks, I was brought on at the start of post-production to explore ideas on how the underwater shots in the climatic battle would look. The purpose of these frames was to help facilitate initial discussions between VFX Supervisor Sue Rowe and production. Though the frames were originally judged to be “too painterly”, they ultimately proved to be reasonably accurate, as illustrated by the comparisons with the final frames below.
